Why we built ToolHa
Simple tasks too often mean fighting sign-up walls, cluttered pages and answers that never explain themselves. We believe converting 5 kilometres to miles or counting the words in an essay should take one second and nothing more.
So every ToolHa page puts the tool at the top, gives you the answer straight away and explains how it was worked out.
The people behind ToolHa
ToolHa is run by a small, independent team. It started at home, with a husband and wife who have both spent their working lives building things for the web.
One of us has been working online since 2010. He began in search engine optimization, moved into web design and development, and still builds and looks after websites for clients. Those years taught him what makes a page quick to load and easy to use, and that shapes every ToolHa tool.
The other works in the same field and shares the same goal: tools that give the right answer, show how they got there, and never ask you to sign up first.
We don’t do it alone. A group of young, energetic people supports us remotely from different countries.
Together we decide which tools to build next, check each one against known results, and read every guide before it goes live. When you write to hello@toolha.com, it reaches us directly.

ToolHa is free because it is supported by advertising, such as Google AdSense. We keep a few firm rules:

- We do not sell your personal information.
- Sponsored placements are always clearly labelled.
- Advertisers have no influence on how our tools calculate or what our guides say.

How we choose what to build
We start with the tasks people search for most, the tools visitors ask us for, and the gaps where existing tools are slow, confusing or unreliable. Every tool page also has a “Help us make this tool better” box, and the most-requested improvements and new tools are built first.
Accuracy and corrections
Each tool is tested against known results before it goes live. Read how we build and test our tools. If you spot a mistake, please tell us through the contact page. Confirmed errors are fixed as a priority and the page’s “last checked” date is updated.
